Carlson Roofing is currently hiring for three positions:

Administrative Coordinator (Construction)

JOB DUTIES:

  • Answer/screen phones in a proficient, friendly manner.

  • Produce professional and accurate email correspondence.

  • Schedule services such as equipment rentals and transfers.

  • Filing documents both physically and digitally.

  • Office supply ordering, receiving, distribution, and storage.

  • Preparation of weekly meeting agendas and transcription of minutes.

  • Update and maintain office forms, training logs, and information binders.

  • Prepare and distribute employee notifications as requested.

  • Maintain vehicle registrations and logging.

  • Use management software to create Purchase Orders.

  • Assist with applications for testing and permits.

  • Set up and troubleshoot employee iPhone accounts.

  • Prepare mail and distribute deliveries.

  • Assist in planning/coordinating company events.

  • Ensure the reception area is clean and presentable.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Reliable and dependable.

  • Bi-lingual preferred (English/Spanish).

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Experience in multi-line phone systems.

  • Hands-on experience with office equipment (copiers, printers, etc.).

  • Solid written and verbal communication skills.

  • Professional attitude and appearance.

  • Strong customer service attitude.

  • Comfortable working as part of a team.

  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive.

  • Excellent organizational skills.

  • Multi-tasking and time-management skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks.

  • Experience with Data Forma or other management software a plus.

  • Familiarity with iPhones is helpful.

The starting salary is $20/hour and could be more depending on experience.

 

Prior experience is not mandatory; we are willing to train the right person as long as they are a capable and quick learner. This is an entry level position, but it can be fairly busy and challenging at times.

Roofing Foreman

 

JOB SUMMARY: Directly supervise and coordinate activities of construction/roofing trade workers and their helpers. Perform both supervisory and management functions and engage in the same construction/roofing trade work as the workers they supervise. Provide timely and quality installation of all assigned roofing projects in the field.

 

SUPERVISES: Field Installers/Roofers and related subcontractors on job sites.

 

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

     • Journeyman Roofer - minimum of five years roofing experience

     • Knowledge and training on multiple roofing types Including: built up roofing, adhesive systems, torch

        modified, single-ply roofing and shingle roofing

     • Good mathematical, reading and time management skills

     • Good attendance

 

SPECIAL SKILLS OR EQUIPMENT REQUIRED:

     • Basic knowledge of OSHA compliance – OHSA 10 Certification (minimum)

     • Reading blue-prints and manufacturer specifications

     • Must own basic roofing tools

 

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

     • Physically fit and sound mind

     • Ability to withstand demands of extreme weather conditions and temperatures

     • Ability to pass initial and random drug tests

 

JOB DUTIES:

  • Day to Day Operations

  • Maintain good relationship with clients (communicate needs/feedback to office staff)

    • Ensure required materials and tools are requested for job site 24/48-hours in advance

    • Conduct hands-on training of new crew members

    • Maintain safe work environment

    • Complete and maintain daily paperwork (delivery invoices, JHA’s, timesheets, safety check-lists, Tool-box talks, etc.)

    • Problem solving issues as they arise

  • Receive training – safety & manufacturers

  • Time Keeping – Track hours worked (daily timesheets) and work completed (square count) for crew

  • Respond to job site emergencies

Journeyman Roofer

Apprentice Roofer

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum age of 18

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Physically able to do the work

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Perform work in accordance with job specification and safety regulations

  • Maintain professional interaction with all customers

  • Be reliable with Strong Work Ethic

  • Able to lift, carry, and move items weighing under 100 lb. frequently

  • Mobility to stand, bend, and kneel repeatedly for extended periods of time

  • Ability to climb ladders frequently and work on elevated roof surfaces

  • Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions, both hot and cold

  • Ability to operate tools that require extensive use of the hands

  • Skill in the use of appropriate tools and equipment is a plus (training available)

  • Remove old roofs, install underlayment, and install new roofs

  • Roofing experience is a plus, but training will be provided
